Positive Technologies Announces New Version of Industrial Safety Product
Positive Technologies has unveiled a new version of its product, the pt indiscent security 4.4, aimed at ensuring the safety of industrial systems. The updated system now offers expanded control of network communications in modern digital power facilities, conforming to the IEC-61850 standard. This standard is widely used in the design of modern digital substations and other energy facilities.
The enhanced product is capable of detecting abnormal network connections, failures, and errors of communication on MMS and Goose protocols. This allows for the identification of improper operation, incorrect equipment tuning, or attempts to compromise devices.
Furthermore, the company has introduced a new Microview Sensor, which serves as a simplified version of the popular NetView Sensor. The Microview Sensor is specifically designed for small automation objects such as 6-10 kV substations, heat points, and engineering systems in data centers and buildings. It records only key events, reducing the cost of the product and enabling the usage of inexpensive non-fiberly industrial PCs.
PT ISIM 4.4 also includes several other noteworthy features:
- The improved mechanism of manual unification and separation of nodes on the network diagram.
- The algorithm of the automatic combination of interfaces into nodes, which performs more stable in networks with complex structures.
- In the OverView Center, the ability to open a single list of incidents on one screen, while also having the option to hide the geographical map.
- A simplified transition to a detailed investigation of incidents in PT ISIM.
In addition, updating previous versions of the product is now fully centralized for all supported operating systems, eliminating the need for manual updates of additional modules.
