Flathub has recently published the unofficial version of the Vivaldi browser in Flatpak format, which was prepared by one of the employees of the company. The package remains unofficial due to concerns surrounding the safety of the Chromium sandbox when running in the Flatpak environment. However, if no major issues arise in the future, the package will be given official status.
The availability of Vivaldi assemblies in Flatpak format enhances the browser’s installation options across numerous distributions without the need for specialized packages. Despite its unofficial status, Vivaldi developers will actively address any errors in this version, just as they do with all other versions, in order to promptly implement necessary corrections.
