Frazybot Turns Coffee into Cocktails at Home

A California startup called Frazy has introduced a groundbreaking device called the Frazybot, a robotic barista and bartender designed for home use. The device will be showcased at the CES event in Las Vegas and is specifically aimed at those who find drinks prepared in cafes or bars more flavorful than ones made at home.

The Frazybot is a basic module that can be placed on a kitchen table or any other area with an electric outlet. It features a built-in control screen and a reservoir for storing basic liquids including water, milk, and various types of alcohol.

Depending on the desired type of drink, users can connect different “drink modules” to the base module. These modules are available for making coffee drinks, tea, beans, cocktails, and non-alcoholic cocktails.

Through the Frazybot website, users have the option to select a specific drink they wish to make, and can even specify the exact process. Fresh ingredients required for the drink are then packed in a sealed box at the Frazy headquarters and delivered to the user.

Once the box is placed in the drink module, a QR code on the box instructs the module on how to proceed. The process begins with the press of a single button.

The Frazybot not only mixes and heats the ingredients, but also performs tasks such as grinding coffee beans, frothing milk, garnishing the glass with salt, drizzling whipped caramel, and even creating decorative patterns in the foam of a Latte. After preparing and serving the drink, the device self-cleans and collects waste in a disposable garbage box.

However, the Frazybot comes with a hefty price tag. It can be pre-ordered at CES for a special price of $3,999, which includes one drink module and two ingredient boxes of the buyer’s choice. Additional drink modules can be purchased for $2,499 each, and the price of the ingredient boxes ranges from $3 to $8 per box, with each box designed to make one cup of the drink.

In addition, there is an option to rent the device for $49 per month, with additional drink modules available for rent at $34 per month.
