Experimental Release of Wine 8.19
The experimental release of the open implementation of Winapi, Wine 8.19, has just taken place. This release comes with numerous improvements and bug fixes, as well as updates to important components.
Since the release of version 8.18, a total of 44 errors have been closed, and 225 changes have been made.
Key Changes in Wine 8.19
- The engine wine mono has been updated to release 8.1.0. This update brings improvements to the .NET platform implementation.
- Continued development of the Winewayland.drv driver, which enables the use of Wine on the Wayland protocol without the need for XWayland and X11 components. The latest version now offers improved support for output and access to XDG information.
- Expanded support for new challenges in the API Directmusic.
- Closed error reports related to various applications, including Word 2007, Ares P2P 2.X, Mikumikudance, and Ged Keeper 2.
- Fixed errors affecting the gameplay of several games, such as Serious Sam: The Random Encounter, Buccanner, Neverwinter Nights 2, Aura of the Ages, Black Rockman Shooter, Midtown Madness AirPort Mant Man, Shtriga: Summer Camp, Memento Mori, Dungeon Keeper 2, Unreal II The Awakening, Tron 2.0, and Myst v.
