The National Cybersecurity Center of Great Britain (NCSC) has launched a new initiative aimed at protecting school networks from cyber threats. The initiative, known as the PDNS initiative for schools, is in response to the increasing threats of cybersecurity in the educational field.
Sarah Lyons, the Deputy Director of the NCSC for Economics and Society, announced that the PDNS service for schools will be provided free of charge. The deployment of this service to most British schools is expected to take place over the next year.
The PDNS service for schools is based on the successful implementation of PDNS as part of the NCSC’s active cyber protection strategy. Nominet, a non-profit organization, has played a significant role in developing this strategy. As part of its commitment to the safety and stability of the Internet, Nominet invests a portion of its income in technology development and research. Additionally, the organization supports social projects and initiatives in the digital sphere.
