Robot-Driver Successfully Holds Concert at Music Festival in Seoul
Seoul, [Date]
An unusual event took place at the Music Festival in Seoul as the robot-driver, Ever 6, successfully held a concert with the participation of living musicians. Developed by Samsung, the robot demonstrated its ability to analyze sound, movements, and emotions of performers, adapting to various styles and genres of music. Ever 6’s exceptional coordination, expressiveness, and charisma garnered admiration from both spectators and critics.
The ever 6 development team emphasized that their goal is not to replace human conductors, but rather to expand the boundaries of musical art with the help of new technologies. They also hope that the Robot Diriger will serve as a source of inspiration for young musicians and music enthusiasts worldwide.
Don Vuk, engineer of the robot, revealed that the developers are currently working on allowing the robot to make gestures that are not pre-programmed.
“Improvisation and communication with musicians in real time is the next big step,” said Slee Zhu Ho, a musical observer attending the performance. “It must be improvised in real time when the musicians make mistakes or when something goes wrong.”
The music festival in Seoul is set to continue until the end of June, with Ever 6 participating in several more concerts alongside different orchestras and choirs. Tickets for these performances have already sold out, and interest in the robot-Diriger is continually growing.
