VMware issues security updates to address hypervisor vulnerability

Virtual infrastructure management software provider, VMware, has released new security updates to eradicate vulnerabilities in its popular hypervisor, VMware ESXI. Corporate environments, in particular, rely on ESXI for creating and managing virtual infrastructures. The hypervisor includes features such as migrating virtual machines between physical servers, resource reservation management, network virtualization, and seamless integration with other VMware products, such as VMware Vcenter Server, for a centralized control and monitoring of virtual media.

The release of the updates comes amidst growing cyber threats that could exploit any vulnerabilities and compromise the integrity of virtual infrastructures. Experts advise that timely deployment of the patches is critical to limit risks and maintain data security.
