Microsoft to offer Azure service for US government’s use

Microsoft announced the launch of the new Azure Openai service for Azure Government users, which requires increased levels of safety and confidentiality. The service allows you to use powerful language models Openai, including GPT-4, GPT-3 and Embeddings, for various tasks associated with the processing of a natural language.

Using the Azure Openai service, you can adapt language models to your specific tasks, such as the generation of content, totaling, semantic search and translation of the natural language into code. Especially useful for users from the public sector is the ability to generate answers using only proven internal data sources. Thus, you can avoid errors and inaccuracies that may arise when using external data.

Microsoft promises that the data of Azure Government users will be protected by encryption using the MacSec AES-128 block cipher. In addition, the data will only be transmitted, and not stored in the Azure Openai model. Microsoft also assures that the entered data will not be used for further training of artificial intelligence models.

Azure Government is a network associated with the Microsoft Azure commercial network, but not having a direct connection with a public Internet or a Microsoft corporate network. This provides an additional level of security for users from the public sector.
