CrowdStrike CEO Claims AI Can Combat Threats

Cybersecurity firm, CrowdStrike, is ready to face “hostile artificial intelligence” used by foreign opponents to hack systems, according to its CEO, George Kurtz. The company has been battling government hackers who use generative AI to avoid detection and hack targets. Kurtz points out that having the best AI technology and data is critical in this arena, stating that “this is a race of weapons, and we believe that we have good positions.”

CrowdStrike has also received IMPACT LEVEL 5 (IL5) security level from the US Department of Defense, which grants access to sensitive cybersecurity materials. Kurtz says that this will make it easier for the firm to “work with millions of endpoints and workloads.”

The company has been at the forefront of cybersecurity, most notably for uncovering Russian hacking efforts during the 2016 Presidential election. CrowdStrike recently went public, and its shares soared on its first day of trading in June 2019.
