Tesla recalls more than 362,000 cars due to problem with autopilot

Tesla suspended The deployment of a new beta-saelf beta version for independent driving Driving (FSD) in the USA and Canada. The suspension is associated with the problems that have arisen, due to which the company recalled more than 362,000 cars.

by default in Tesla cars, a system for helping a driver called Autopilot is installed. But the owner of Tesla can additionally purchase a FSD system for $ 15,000, which, according to Ilon Mask, will soon provide electric cars with complete autonomy. Now the FSD includes several functions of autonomous driving, requiring a constant readiness to take control from the driver. Functions include the PA PACT:

  • car parking;
  • navigation;
  • changes in the lane;
  • car control on city streets;
  • recognition of traffic signals.

National Road Safety Directorate of the USA (NHTSA) in February declared that because of the FSD beta, “Tesla cars can exceed speed or move unpredictably”, which increases the risk of accident. The software allows cars to enter the intersections with the sign “Stop” and to the yellow traffic signal.

As a result of tesla withdrew 362 758 Electric vehicles equipped FSD Beta, as well as its installations:

  • Model S and X 2016-2023 of the release;
  • Model 3 2017-2023 of the release;
  • Model Y 2020-2023 of release.

Tesla postponed the launch of the FSD Beta until the release of updates with the correction of the problem. The company promised to release an update in “In the coming weeks”.
