Since the start of the year, 31 tonnes entered
Located between Colombia and Peru – the main cocaine producers in the world – Ecuador has entered a record amount of this drug in 2021: around 210 tonnes for European ports.
In 2022, the seizures exceeded 200 tonnes – 61 % of which were hidden from bananas intended for export. Since the beginning of 2023, they have reached 31 tonnes in total.
