Roskomnadzor is preparing to launch a new Vepr information system. The new system will have to better identify the places of information threats on the Internet and the voltage points of public opinion.
According to Vedomosti, subordinate to the Roskomnadzor of the FSUE “The Main Radio Frequency Center” (GRCHC) tests the Vepr information bombing system. The representative of the department told the publication that the development of the system has been underway since 2022. The system launch in full mode is scheduled for the second half of 2023.
Vepr will engage in the identification of threats in the information sphere and predicting the risks of their occurrence. ” The GRCHC specified that the system also knows how to work with pseudonymous sources, identify the smallest connections and establish authorship of anonymous sources of information.
The new Vepr information system works in conjunction with the Okulus system, sharpened for recognition of prohibited information content, which reveals violations of the legislation of the Russian Federation in images and video materials.
