The new malware, called “Proxyshellminer”, uses the vulnerabilities of Microsoft Exchange Proxyll to deploy cryptocurrency miners and profiters.
proxyshell is a common name for three Microsoft Exchange vulnerabilities, discovered and corrected back in 2021. Together, vulnerabilities make it possible to execute a remote code without authentication, giving attackers the full control over the specific Exchange server, as well as the ability to connect to other organization servers.
In the attacks, the company is working with clients in various industries, including finances, healthcare, production and state institutions.
