Russian credit organizations must return the money that were stolen by scammers to customers. This was stated by the head of the Bank of Russia Elvira Nabiullina at the Forum “Cybersecurity in Finance” in Yekaterinburg.

According to Nabiullina, such a statement was made in support of the initiative of President Vladimir Putin Kabmin of the Russian Federation and the Bank of Russia by July 1, 2023 to consider the possibility of creating mechanisms for compensation for funds stolen by scammers.

Nabiullina added that credit organizations as advanced companies with modern protection systems should bear some responsibility to their customers. According to her, the financial literacy of a person can not always protect him from the tricks of the attackers.
