Director of the Monitoring and Management Center for Communications of General Use (TsMU SSOP) The Main Radio Frequency Center (part of the RKN structure) Sergey Khutorstsev said that by 2024 all mobile operators will be connected to the Antifrod system.
Antifrod platform was created to combat telephone fraud by blocking calls and SMS messages from substitution numbers. At the moment, 4 large operators have connected to the system, and until the end of 2023 it is planned to connect all the remaining mobile operators in Russia. Khututsev emphasized that it would be impossible to replace the number in Russia technologically.
“Antifrod” will use unique identification codes of subscribers and other functions to identify compounds in respect of which there is no information about initiation. It is planned that the system will verify about 90% of the calls.
Connecting to the system will be mandatory for all operators, and they will not be able to skip unbelied calls. Large communication suppliers will be connected to the system using their own resources, regional companies – using cloud nodes.
