The President of Senators Les Républicains (LR) Bruno Retailleau estimates in the Journal du Dimanche (JDD), Sunday, February 12, that Aurélien Pradié will have to leave his post as executive vice-president if he does not vote the pension reform as he agitates the threat.
To the question “Aurélien Pradié can remain number two of the party?” The senator from Vendée assures that “if he does not vote for the postponement of the legal age, no”. Elected batch deputy on a line of “popular right”, Aurélien Pradié requests guarantees on long careers, to the chagrin of several LRs which are worried about the credibility of the Republicans if they prevent the adoption of a reform resuming Many markers of the right.
“Being right is not to be a little less left than the left,” says Bruno Retailleau, according to whom “you have to stop the bid”. Because “if the government accepted the 43 annuities for all those who started working before 21, on the sole condition that they have contributed a quarter, that would derail the reform,” he adds.
Debate soon “open” in the Senate
While the text arrives on February 27 in the Senate, “we decided (…) to open a maximum of days of debate so that the Senate has time to examine this reform”.
m. Retailleau intends to make several proposals, in particular that women having raised at least three children “have the choice: working up to 64 years and benefiting from an upper on their pension, or opt for an early departure at 63”.
“We will defend a survivor’s pension for orphaned disabled children” and “we also want to shift the age of cancellation of the discount for special regimes” by two years. As for the introduction on the one hand of capitalization, “we will open this debate”, promises the senator.
