Only five days after his incarceration, Ilias Kasidiaris had posted his first video on the occasion of the Greek national holiday, entitled “first message of the prison”. A few months before the verdict of the Athens Criminal Court in October 2020, the ex-elected official, known for his anti-Semitic, racist and sexist diatribes, had formed his party, Ellines (the Greeks). Ilias Kasidiaris, who proudly wears a swastika on his left arm, was the rising figure of the neonazi party. In 2012, he entered Parliament.
