Legislative: appeal of Jean-Michel Blanquer rejected, Clement Beaune officially elected

The Constitutional Council, which has rejected eight of the appeals presented in nine districts, also canceled an election in the 1st district of Ariège.

The appeal of Jean-Michel Blanquer in the Loiret was rejected by the Constitutional Council, Friday, January 27. The latter also validated the election of Minister Clément Beaune during the legislative elections in June, and canceled the election of Bénédicte Taurine (La France Insoumise, LFI) in Ariège.

The body responsible for electoral litigation rejected eight of the appeals presented in nine districts, including that presented by the former Minister of National Education, eliminated in the first round in the 4th district of Loiret, won largely in the second Tour by Thomas Ménéée (national rally, RN) with 63.36 % of the votes.
