Microsoft is actively working to reduce the use of the control panel in new versions of Windows. In the update of Windows 11 24H2, developers transfer many functions and settings from the control panel to the parameters application, which makes work with the system more intuitive. However, lovers of old solutions can be happy: God Mode is still Available and in this update.
God Mode is a hidden function that collects all Windows settings in one place. With it, users can get quick access to parameters, which are in the usual situation deep in the control panel. This trick has long been known and worked on previous versions of Windows, including versions for the participants of the Insider program, and now remains relevant for Windows 11 24H2.
In order to activate God mode, you need to create a new folder on the desktop and assign it a special name-“Godmode. {ed7ba470-8e54-465e-825c-99712043E01C}”. After that, the folder is converted into the control panel icon, and when it is opened, the user will gain access to all system settings.
Windows experts note that God Mode allows you to significantly simplify the search for the desired parameters that can be hidden in the depths of the control panel. All settings are conveniently grouped into categories, which accelerates navigation.
God Mode is far from the only alternative to Windows users. Earlier, the developer Thiojoe introduced a powerful tool – Super God Mode, which allows you to create a folder with links to system tasks, parameters and much more in Windows. To activate Super God Mode, you need to download the package file and the PowerShell script with Github and start them to create a shortcut.
After that, a folder with the name of Super God Mode will appear in the Windows conductor, including several invested folders associated with the parameters application, control panels and such hidden sections as Appdata, which makes access to system settings even easier and more convenient.
