ClickUp Halts Service for Russian Users

On September 12, 2024, American service management platform Clickup has halted its operations in Russia following the imposition of sanctions by the US Department of Finance Control (OFAC). The company has informed Russian users about the termination of access to their platform.

According to Clickup:

  • Users in Russia will no longer be able to access Clickup.
  • Existing users’ accounts located in Russia will be deactivated.
  • Users whose accounts were previously blocked but have since left Russia (and do not have payment information linked to Russia) can create new Clickup accounts.
  • If no further action is taken, users of WorkSpace outside Russia may risk losing access to Clickup WorkSpace and related data. Planned subscription payments for future extensions could also be disrupted.

The company is advising users to export their data and transfer workspace rights to users in other countries to prevent any loss.

Alternative solutions in Russia similar to Clickup include Kaiten, “Aspro.agile”, Shtab, Simpleone SDLC, Planfix, and Leadertask.
