Startwine-Launcher 406: Run Windows Apps, Games on Linux

Published Application Issue Startwine-launcher 406, developed for launching programs and games from the Windows platform on Linux systems. The main goal of Startwine-launcher was to simplify the process of creating Wine for newcomers by providing the necessary libraries and dependencies for Windows applications on Linux. The code for Startwine-launcher is written in Python and is licensed under GPLV3. The interface is based on the GTK library.

Startwine-launcher offers various features such as a container based on Runimage, a user-friendly graphic interface, and universal installation that does not affect system files. Applications are launched in an isolated container, eliminating the need to install dependencies on the system.

Features of the latest version of Startwine-launcher include an updated graphic interface, refined prefixes, an updated list of Wine versions, updated lists of DXVK and VKD3D versions, updated libraries and drivers in the container, and improved performance with fixed errors.

Other updates in the latest version include the ability to rename applications, change the path to executable files, new animations, added support for DirectX 8 in DXVK mode, and improved algorithms for automatic search. Additionally, outdated launch settings have been removed.
