London transport management (Transport for London, TFL) reported about the ongoing kiberatak on his systems. According to the agency, at the moment the incident has not influenced the work of the city transport services.
TFL representatives assured that there is no evidence of the compromise of the user data. The customer work team notified passengers about the incident by e -mail, and also published an appropriate application on the official website.
Transport administration informed the situation by specialized state bodies, including the National Crime Agency and the National Cybersecurity Center. Now the department is working closely with them to respond to the attack and minimize its consequences.
TFL emphasized that the safety of user systems and data is a priority. Iffective measures were taken to prevent further unauthorized access to information resources.
TFL chief technical director Shashi Verma informed the BBC about the introduction of a number of additional protection measures into internal systems to counteract the current cyberataka.
