FBI Uses Amazon Book As Key Evidence In Pseudonym Case

The FBI has gathered evidence against a suspect involved in the assault on the Capitol on January 6, 2021, using his own book published on Amazon. The book, titled “January 6 Redux: A Patriot’s Story,” was authored under the pseudonym “Nathanel Matthews” by Neutan A. Thornsberry. The FBI claims that information obtained from Facebook and Amazon confirmed Thornsberry as the author, despite the book being removed from Amazon. Previous versions of the book are still accessible.

Thornsberry has been charged with six offenses, including attacking an officer, obstructing law enforcement duties, and disrupting public order in the Capitol building. The 103-page book, now only available in electronic form, presents Thornsberry’s eyewitness account of the January 6 events and challenges the media and politicians’ official narrative. It delves into the motivations behind the protest and his personal experiences that day.

In the book, Thornsberry outlines his reasons for participating in the Capitol breach, citing an internal threat to freedom and the US Constitution posed by a “shadow organization” infiltrating various societal institutions. The FBI points out discrepancies between Thornsberry’s account in the book and video evidence, such as his voluntary advancement towards police despite claiming to be protecting other protesters at the barricade.

Although “January 6 Redux: A Patriot’s Story” is no longer on Amazon, Thornsberry has authored other works on sale. It is important to note that META and its products are considered extremist and banned in Russia.
