The developers of the project KDE Neon have announced the transition of their live-assembly with current versions of KDE programs and components to Ubuntu 24.04 LTS. Several options for downloading KDE Neon assemblies have been proposed, including User Edition, Testing Edition, Unstable Edition, and Developer Edition.
Jonathan Riddell, the creator of the KDE Neon project and former leader of the Kubuntu distribution, established KDE Neon to allow users to install the latest versions of KDE programs and components. Assemblies and related KDE Neon repositories are updated soon after the release of KDE versions, often before they are available in distribution repositories.
