Sam Altman Urges States: Unite Against Big Brother

The World Network project, the brainchild of billionaire Sam Altman from Openai, A loud event in San Francisco, presenting the “significant updates” of its contradictory cryptocurrency platform. Sam Altman and his associate Alex Blans, heading Tools for Humanity, spoke to the public, revealing plans for the scaling of technology. They announced their intention to increase the base of verified users from the current 7 million to impressive 700 million or more.

The platform, previously known as Worldcoin, is now called just World or World Network. Rebranding is explained by the expansion of the scale of the project and its mission – “accelerate the development of each person in the era of artificial intelligence.”

Blati proudly noted that a new user joins every two seconds to the network. The total number of registrations reached 15 million, of which almost half of the verification through the ORB device – a special scanner of the rainbow shell of the eye.

Despite impressive numbers, the project is faced with serious criticism. The authorities of France, Germany and other EU countries express concern about the collection of biometric data. In Spain and Kenya, the work of ORB devices was even suspended due to confidentiality issues.

The creators of the World Network do not lose heart and present grandiose plans. They intend to increase the number of Orb devices a thousand times and expand the geography of their presence. To achieve the goal, the company plans to triple production facilities, attracting new assembly partners around the world.

It is interesting that in some cities the project has already reached impressive coverage. For example, in Lisbon and Santiago, every seventh adult resident went through verification through Orb. And in Buenos Aires, this indicator has completely reached one third of the adult population.

World Network is not limited only to technological innovations. The company announced the opening of new retail stores around the world, where people will be able to personally get acquainted with Orb technology and take the verification of World ID. In addition, the Verification program on request is launched in partnership with small independent points, such as coffee houses and shops.

Particular attention was attracted by the presentation of the updated version of the ORB device. Rob Khili, the chief engineer of the project, presented the public with a novelty, which works three times faster than its predecessor and has 30% less details. The performance of artificial intelligence in the device has grown five times, reaching 100 trillion operations per second.

World Network also announced the introduction of new cryptographic measures to enhance the confidentiality and data security. The AMPC authentication protocol (Anonymized Multi-Party Compution) is presented, which allows you to check the uniqueness of data without access to their content.
