Openwrt Update 05.23.5

OpenWRT has recently published the distribution of OpenWRT 23.05.5, designed for use in various network devices such as routers, switches, and access points. This distribution supports numerous platforms and architectures and includes a build system that enables easy cross-compilation of various components to create finished firmware or disk images with desired pre-installed packages. Assemblies have been formed for 35 target platforms.

The main changes in OpenWRT 23.05.5 include:

  • Resolution of issues in devices like ZYXEL EX5700, Fritzbox 4040, Unifi U6, CMCC RAX3000M, JDCloud Re-CP-03, ARUBA AP-303H, GL-AR550, Sercomm NA502S, and TP-Link EAP613.
  • Integration with new versions of ARuba.
  • Fixes related to MediaTek, ATH25, ATH79, IPQ40XX, OCTEON, RAMIPS, and Realtek chipsets.
  • Inclusion of drivers KMOD-R8101, KMOD-R8168, KMOD-R8125, and KMOD-R8126.
  • Enhancements in lldpd, the implementation of the Link Layer Discovery Protocol (LLDP).
  • Upgrade from kernel 6.1.110 to a package with a core of 5.15 for the Poruted wireless stack MAC80211, addressing issues that were causing decreased throughput in the wireless stack.
  • Updates to Linux version 5.15.167, Openssl 3.0.15, and MBEDTLS 2.28.9.
