The latest release of MiniOS, version 4.0, is now available for download. MiniOS is known for its modular architecture, allowing users to create specialized configurations by excluding unnecessary components and adding necessary ones for specific tasks. This operating system is based on Debian package base and offers a graphic environment based on Xfce by default.
Changes in the fourth version of MiniOS include:
- There are now only two editions available for loading instead of six: MiniOS Standard (i386, AMD64, 656 MB) and Toolbox (AMD64, 838MB).
- The new Toolbox edition is a multifunctional tool for system administrators, offering a large set of utilities for servicing PCs and data recovery.
- The Standard edition for AMD64 now contains additional drivers for wireless adapters and drivers for modern Intel sound cards.
- The visual design has been significantly processed and improved.
- All MiniOS tools for configuring the system and creating modules have been improved.
- Many changes have been made to increase user convenience.
