Researchers at AquaSec have recently uncovered a new widespread DDoS campaign linked to a group known as Matrix. This cybercrime activity highlights how affordable tools and minimal technical knowledge can enable individuals to carry out global attacks. The main targets of this campaign are vulnerable Internet of Things (IoT) devices commonly used by consumers, such as vehicles, smart home systems, wearable technology, and medical devices with remote monitoring capabilities.
