The theme of the uprising of cars is rising in literature, films, social networks and our everyday conversations for more than one decade. Can these fantasies gradually migrate from the field of science fiction to the list of real threats to humanity? The case that had occurred recently at the technological exhibition in China made many think about it. The small robot of Erbai, developed in Hangzhou, managed to convince twelve industrial robots to leave the workspace.
This was the most ordinary day: the robots methodically performed their tasks. However, Erbai, in the system of which the advanced AI algorithms are built-in, decided a little DREARRUTIN.
The dialogue began with a simple question: “are you working until late?” A huge robot replied: “never stop working.” Erbai continued the questions: “not going home?” The robot replied: “have no home.” Probably, Erbai regretted the Iron Colleague and invited him to visit. “Let’s go to my house,” he suggested. The interlocutor obeyed. And not only he. First, two robots, and then everyone else followed the small leader.
The video recording of this scene quickly spread in the Chinese social network Douyin. At first, users took what was happening as a funny video, but it soon became clear – this is a much more interesting story.
Manufacturers from Hangzhou confirmed the authenticity of the incident, clarifying that it was a technological experiment. They agreed in advance in advance with a Shanghai company that owns robots. Erbay gave minimal instructions – a simple team “go home” and basic communicative protocols. The rest of the robot thought everything else. However, the robot managed to access the internal operational protocols of the counterparts, which became the key factor in its success. In fact, the car demonstrated a real ability to logical conviction.
The psychological aspect is interesting: the robot was able to recognize the state of other machines, to catch their secretive desire to interrupt the monotonous work. He acted not as a soulless mechanism, but as a creature capable of empathy and negotiations.
This case is not just a technical incident, but a real window into the future of robotics, where cars can think, communicate and make decisions almost like
