GitHub has recently announced a new initiative called the GitHub Secure Open Source Fund, with the goal of providing funding to enhance the security of open projects. The initiative plans to select 125 projects during its first stage, and invest a total of 1.25 million dollars in these projects. Applications for funding will be accepted until January 7th.
The projects eligible for funding must have open licenses and be located in regions where GitHub sponsors the program.
