District DEBIAN 12.9 Released

The Debian Project has announced the release of the ninth update for the DEBIAN 12 distribution, aimed at providing users with accumulated packet updates and installer corrections. This latest release, Debian 12.9, includes a total of 72 updates to address stability issues and 38 updates to eliminate vulnerabilities.

Among the notable changes in Debian 12.9 are the updates to fresh stable versions of Ansible, Intel-Microcode, Nvidia-Graphics-Drivers, Qemu, Systemd, and Tzdata. However, the CRIU packages have been removed due to assembly problems on the architecture of ARM64, and TK-HTML3 has been discontinued.

Users can download and install Debian 12.9 “from scratch” using the prepared assemblies. For existing systems that are already installed and up to date, they can receive the updates included in Debian 12.9 through the standard update installation system. Security updates addressing any vulnerabilities in the new Debian release will be made available to users as updates are released via security.debian.org.
