Web Brauzer Min 1.34 Released

Min 1.34 browser has been released, featuring a minimalist interface focused on streamlined navigation. Developed using the Electron platform, Min utilizes Chromium and Node.js to create separate applications. The interface is built on JavaScript, CSS, and HTML, with the code distributed under the Apache 2.0 license. Versions are available for Linux, MacOS, and Windows.

Min offers tabbed browsing with features such as opening new tabs beside the current tab, hiding inactive tabs, grouping tabs, and viewing tabs in list form. Users can create lists of saved tasks/links for later reading, access a bookmark system with full-text search support, and utilize built-in ad blocking and tracking protection. Users can also disable image and script loading.

The central feature of Min is the address bar, which allows users to search using the default DuckduckGo search engine and search within the current page. The address bar provides information summaries for search queries, including Wikipedia links, bookmark and visit history samples, and Duckduckgo recommendations. Every page visited is indexed for future searching within the address bar, and users can input commands for quick operations.

New features in Min 1.34 include:

  • Added ability to import and export passwords from other browsers in the settings page.
  • Improved interface for switching to the search bar tab.
  • Option to create custom key combinations using the Super (Windows) key.
  • Shift functionality when opening full-text search results to position on corresponding page matches.
  • Enhanced reliability in session restoration.
  • Default debug function menu hidden (requires “–debug-browser” option to display).
