Angie 1.9.0 Released: Nginx Fork Update

Angie Software presented the release of a high-performance HTTP server and a multi-process proxy server Angie 1.9.0, which is branched from Nginx by a group of former developers who resigned from F5 Network. The development of the web server, which was formed in the fall of 2022 and received an investment of $1 million, is being undertaken by the company Web Server LLC. Changes in Angie 1.9.0:

  • The directive proxy_cache_path has implemented the ability to instruct the file to save between server restarts the contents from separate memory with cache index. Preserving the index allows for immediate resumption of work after restart without the need to reload the cache.
  • The Stream module has added the directive ssl_early_data to include the Early Data (0-RTT) mechanism, allowing the client to send data while TLSV1.3 connection approval is pending.
  • The directive acme_hook now supports the “URI=” parameter to
/Reports, release notes, official announcements.
