Archify Script Replaces Distribution with Arch Linux

The first version of the script archify has been released. This script allows users to easily switch to Arch Linux from other distributions while preserving user data, home contents, and mounting points. Archify is a script branch of Turboarch, expanding its functionality.

Archify provides several configuration options for setting up the new system. Users can choose to save existing users or add a single root user with a specific password. The script also enables the installation of operating tables or window managers, video detectors, and sound servers. Once these parameters are selected, the script will prompt for the desired hostname, time zone, package sorting using the utility reflector, and execution of bash or command membrane for reloading.

The installation process with the chosen parameters is automated, eliminating the need for user input. Archify progressively installs all the necessary components, clearing the old system contents from directories such as /bin, /etc, /lib, /lib64, /sbin, /srv, /usr, and /var. Users can define parameters in the config.default file for immediate system replacement. The script also supports working with LVM logical volumes and LUKS encryption.
