Release Wine 10.5

Published The experimental release of the open implementation of Win32 API – Wine 10.5. Since the release of version 10.4, 22 error reports have been closed and 260 changes have been implemented.

The key changes in Wine 10.5 include:

  • Wined3D now supports acceleration of video decoding in H.264 using the VULKAN graphics API.
  • Bluetooth driver now allows for device pairing.
  • The Wine Mono engine has been updated to version 10.0.00. Wine Mono is a distribution of the Mono Framework for use in Wine, replacing the proprietary .NET Framework component.
  • Support for using larger memory pages on ARM64 systems.
  • Added support on MacOS platform for replacing the contents of the %GS register during system call processing to prevent data leakage.
  • Fixed errors related to applications such as Microsoft Edge, PS Core, and Tiptap.
  • Fixed errors related to game compatibility, including Shrift 2 Translation, Pantheon, Brothers – A Tale of Two Sons, Rally Trophy, and Queen of Heart 99 Se.
