After almost three years since the publication of the last significant branch Deadbeep 1.10.0 , a new update has been released. The player is written in SI and can work with a minimum set of dependencies. The code is distributed under the license of ZLIB. The interface is built using the GTK library, supports tabs, and can expand through widgets and plugins.
Among the possibilities of the new update are automatic transcoding of text encoding in tags, an equalizer, support of cue files, the ability to control through the command line or from the system tray, loading and displaying covers, a built-in tag editor, flexible possibilities in displaying the desired fields in the lists of compositions, supporting streaming Internet radio, reproduction mode without pauses, and the presence of recoding sound files.
The main changes in this update include:
- Possibility of rollback (Undo/Redo) operations of editing a playback list.
- Teams for the transition to the previous, next, and random album, working taking into account the stirring mode.
- Support for Tory personnel in metadata id3v2.3 .
- Support for the multimedia package FFMPEG 7.
