Latest Update on Hyprland 0.48 Composite Server
Hyprland has recently released the latest version of its composite server, Hyprland 0.48, which utilizes the Wayland protocol. This project focuses on the mosaic (Tiling) layout of windows while also supporting classical arbitrary window placement, tab grouping, a pseudo-power regime, and full-screen window opening. Users can create visually appealing interfaces with features like window gradients, background blurring, animations, and shadows. Additionally, plugins can be connected to enhance functionality, and external management is facilitated through an IPC based on sockets. The code is written in C++ and distributed under the BSD license.
Configuration settings can be adjusted through the configuration file, with changes taking effect immediately without the need for a restart. The server also offers features to enhance gaming performance, such as the ability to disable vertical synchronization (VSYNC) with a personnel extinguishing impulse to prevent tearing. Other notable functions include dynamically created virtual desktops, screen layout modes, global hotkey processing, and touchpad/sensor screen gesture control.
In the latest version 0.48, several key updates have been implemented:
- Full support for color management based on the Wayland Protocol’s color-management has been added.
- The implementation of the panel for working with groups (GroupBar) has been improved, with rounded angles and customizable appearance parameters.
- A new dialogue has been introduced to handle application freezes.
