Ilya Chugin (x512) informed about the first results of the NVIDIA driver for the operating system Haiku. The port is still at the initial stage of development but is already suitable for simple drawing. The work involves an open nucleus module from NVIDIA and VULKAN NVK drive from Mesa. In the NVK Mesa drive, support for the nuclear Nouveau DRM-Driver is added, and the NOVEAU DRM drive Libdrm and its associated components are not used in the port.
The decision to use the code from NVIDIA, rather than the Nouveau driver, was based on the ease of porting. The NVIDIA driver is designed to be easily transferred and uses general code in assemblies for Windows, Linux, FreeBSD, and Solaris. Additionally, the NVIDIA driver is of higher quality and better supported.

Porting for the Haiku GIMP 3.0 graphic editor can also be highlighted. The port was created by Gerasim Troeglazov (3deyes).
