FBI Targets Adolescent Group COM/764: Hackers to Extremists

The global community hackers and extremists, known as COM/764, have not ceased their activities despite efforts from law enforcement agencies. Members of the group have transitioned from cybercrimes to real-life attacks, including physical reprisals, armed assaults, arson, shootings, and even terrorist acts.

A particularly dangerous group within COM/764 is No Lives Matter (NLM), which advocates for physical retribution and chaos. The group has published various “manuals” that have been utilized by criminals in the USA and Europe.

The US Department of Justice has classified COM/764 as a “tier one” threat – the highest priority for combatting extremist organizations. Analysts in the US believe that the threats posed by this network not only impact individual victims but also public safety at large. The decentralized structure and lack of a unified ideology make it challenging to identify and combat COM/764.

Western nations have intensified efforts to apprehend individuals associated with COM/764. In the UK, a 19-year-old named Cameron Finnegan was sentenced to 6 years in prison for possessing prohibited materials and inciting criminal activities. In the US, authorities are seeking the extradition of a 17-year-old from Romania accused of blackmail and making false terrorist threats.

One notable figure within the network is German teenager Nino Luciano, also known as “Tobbz.” In 2022, Luciano carried out an armed attack on elderly individuals, inspiring other extremists. The name “Tobbz” has since become synonymous with criminal acts. Some members of COM/764 not only commit crimes themselves but also orchestrate criminal activities.

Analysts are concerned about the potential merging of COM/764 with other extremist groups like the Terrorgram Collective and Order of Nine Angles, leading to a new form of radicalism. This blend of ideologies does not simply advocate for violence but encourages young individuals to engage in criminal behavior. By amalgamating various extremist elements, participants in the network are creating radical movements that cannot be easily addressed using traditional counter-terrorism approaches.
