Geramsim Troeglazov (3deyes) recently collected updated versions of popular browsers and mail clients. This collection includes the Firefox 136 browser, the Librewolf 136 browser, and the Thunderbird Browser 136.
According to data, one of the developers of Haiku in the early 2000s in the BEOS EPS played a role in inspiring the creation of Firefox. The Bezilla project was an initiative to port the Mozilla Suite package for the BEOS operating system. However, due to the package’s length, the BEOS community aimed to develop a lighter version focused only on the browser, excluding other components like the mail client and web page editor. This idea caught the attention of Mozilla developers, who then released their separate browser version named Phoenix, later renamed Firebird to avoid brand conflicts, and eventually settling on the name Firefox to avoid clashes with a free DBMS’s name.
