PT NGFW Secures $1.2B Investment, Scales for All

Positive Technologies held its annual Open Day event for partners on March 12, 2025, where they reviewed the key results of the year. The main focus was on the financial results of their new generation NGFW.

Mass shipments of PT NGFW began on November 20, 2024, and within a month and a half, the product was chosen by 44 Russian companies and one foreign company. The total volume of shipments for 2024 reached 1.2 billion rubles. The most popular model was PT NGFW 3010, with 56 units sold, which is ideal for highly loaded systems. Following closely were PT NGFW 2010 (49 units) and PT NGFW 1050 (31 units), designed for processing traffic from 1 to 10 Gbit/s.

According to Maxim Filippov, Deputy General Director of Positive Technologies, the development of PT NGFW only took two years, compared to decades taken by international companies to create similar solutions. By 2024, the product had achieved record speed and performance indicators, making it the choice of many large Russian companies for protecting their businesses from cyber attacks by 2025.

In 2024, over 100 partners included PT NGFW in their portfolios, with 46 of them purchasing software and hardware systems for demo funds. The top sellers were “Infosystems Jet” and “Aitubi”. By the end of the year, 41 Positive Technologies partners had implemented projects using PT NGFW, including in the retail and financial sectors.

Customers have highlighted several key advantages of PT NGFW, such as failure tolerance, high performance (validated by BI.zone tests in 2025), and reliable technical support with an average response time of 7 minutes. The product also achieved an 85.3% efficiency rate in cyberthreat detection. Furthermore, PT NGFW was the first product in the market to receive a certificate from FSTEC of Russia for meeting new requirements for network level inter-grid screens.

From the start of shipments, Positive Technologies guarantees equipment replacement within a day in case of breakdowns. The failure rate for the first few months of operation was less than 1%, with faulty devices promptly replaced.
