Google Pays $11.8M for 2024 Bug Bounties

Google has released a report summarizing the results of its payment program for identifying vulnerabilities in Chrome, Android, Google Play applications, Google products, and various open-source software. In 2024, the total amount of rewards paid out was $11.8 million, a decrease of $2 million compared to 2023 and similar to the amount paid out in 2022. A total of 660 researchers received remuneration, slightly more than the previous year’s 632 but less than the 703 in the year before that. Since the program’s inception in 2010, Google has paid out a total of $65 million in rewards.
