The Financial Bank of Russia notified the organization of the credit and financial sector about the likely compromising of Lanter and LLC Lan AtMervice, which is part of the Lanin group, Vedomosti reports. Information about this was published on the website of the state system of detection, prevention and elimination of the consequences of computer attacks on information resources of the Russian Federation.
Financial organizations received a warning on February 21. National Coordination Center for Computer incidents (NKSTS) recommended an urgent change of passwords and keys used to access systems that function in the data processing centers “Lanin”.
“In the event that the development and software products of the LANNI group of companies are used in your infrastructure and engineers Lanit, remote access is provided to them, it is also recommended to change data for connection,” the state system’s website reports.
Additionally, organizations are advised to strengthen the monitoring of threats and information security events in the systems that were developed, commissioned or serviced by Lanit specialists.
If signs of compromising information infrastructure are identified, it is necessary to immediately report this to the NKSKI. Additional recommendations are also available to reduce possible risks when interacting with contractors that are given in a special ballot.
