The second release of the Orbitiny Desktop was recently unveiled by its creator, Sasko Usinov. The desktop environment was crafted entirely from scratch using the Framwarz Qt. The project aims to merge innovative concepts not seen before in user interfaces with traditional components like a panel, menu, and desktop icon placement. Written in C++, the code is available under the GPL license. Details of Orbitiny’s features can be found in the latest announcement.
The latest version introduces a new configurator known as the Control Panel. This configurator boasts a completely revamped design, incorporates a side panel, and includes enhanced search functions. Binary assemblies can be obtained from the project’s downloads page.
