True World Holdings LLC, commonly known as True World, recently informed its employees about a cyber incident that compromised their personal data. The breach of network security occurred on August 23, with cybercriminals successfully accessing the company’s systems and obtaining files containing information on both current and former employees.
In an official statement, True World did not specify the exact personal data that was compromised, citing variability depending on the individual. An ongoing investigation is being conducted to determine the full extent of the data breach. The Prosecutor General’s Office reported that a total of 8532 individuals were affected, despite the fact that the company currently employs approximately 1000 people worldwide.
As a precautionary measure, True World strongly advised affected employees to monitor their financial accounts for any suspicious activity and to regularly check their credit reports. The company has also offered free credit monitoring and identity restoration services for a period of one year. Additionally, True World suggested implementing changes to account information and security measures in order to safeguard financial and other personal accounts from further unauthorized access.
