Specialists from Rapid7 have recently observed the activity of an updated version of the malicious Lodarat, which continues to pose a threat to users even 8 years after its initial appearance. The Lodarat malware is known for its ability to evade detection and persist on infected systems.
Furthermore, the malware leverages Autoit, a legitimate scripting language, to mask its processes and activities. This allows attackers to easily create and distribute malicious software while evading detection by security measures.
