VMware’s Fusion, Workstation Now Free for All

VMware Fusion and VMware Workstation Now Free for All Users

VMware reported about significant changes in her product line on November 11, 2024. Both VMware Fusion and VMware Workstation are now available for free for all users. This includes commercial, educational, and personal licenses without the need for payment.

Previous versions of Workstation Pro and Fusion Pro will no longer be available for purchase. However, users on commercial contracts will still receive support until the end of their agreement, with all levels of service and obligations maintained.

Despite the transition to free use, the functionality of the products remains unaffected. Users will still have access to all the features necessary for their projects. After current contracts expire, support through the ticket system will be discontinued, but users can access an extensive online database of resources including documentation and instructions.

New users will have access to extensive support through online resources and the community. Forums and reference materials will help users effectively utilize Fusion and Workstation, resolving issues and improving their use of hypervisors.

VMware plans to continue investing in product development, adding new features and enhancing stability. With an expanded user base, the company aims to gather feedback to better tailor products to the needs of the audience.

This move is intended to foster an active community of users and enhance interaction with VMware products. For more information on the transition and available resources, visit The official page of the company.
