According to reports from the Central Telegraph Agency of Korea (Tsat), Russia and the Korean People’s Democratic Republic (DPRK) have signed an agreement on cooperation in the field of information technology and telecommunications. The agreement was signed on October 30 in Pyongyang.
The agreement was between the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications, and Mass Communications of Russia and the Ministry of Information Industry of the DPRK. Deputy Minister Andrei Zarenin signed on behalf of Russia, while Deputy Minister Chan EN Gil signed on behalf of the DPRK. Russian Ambassador to the DPRK, Alexander Mamegora, was also present at the signing ceremony. Following the signing, a working meeting was conducted to discuss the implementation of the agreement.
