Amidst the social networks of Threads, a fraudulent campaign of unprecedented proportions has been recorded where cyber criminals are selling financial user data. SpyCloud researcher Kyla Cardona stumbled upon these disturbing posts while browsing through the platform. The posts are said to contain sensitive information such as card holder names, card numbers, CVV codes, PIN codes, addresses, passwords and other personal details that can be exploited for fraudulent activities and cyber attacks.
Kyla Cardona emphasized the seriousness of the situation by stating, “This data is a complete toolkit for cybercrimes, including phishing, fraud, and identity theft.”
It is worth noting that META and its products have been classified as extremist, leading to their activities being banned within the territory of the Russian Federation.
