Gentoo Linux Adds DTRACE 2.0 Support

The Gentoo developers have recently announced the integration of DTRACE 2.0 into their distribution. DTRACE 2.0 is a tool for dynamic tracing of the kernel and user-space applications, allowing real-time tracking of system behavior and diagnosis of issues with minimal impact on performance. This version of DTRACE utilizes the EBPF subsystem and standard kernel tracing mechanisms, eliminating the need for a special module to be loaded into the kernel.

In order to use DTRACE in Gentoo, users simply need to install the dev-debug/dtrace package. All necessary configurations are included in the standard kernel provided in the distribution. Additionally, when manually assembling the eBuild kernel, users will now receive prompts suggesting which options should be enabled for DTRACE to function properly.
